I recently went to play golf locally and saw some ads on the benches. That gave me an idea and i called the company. It turns out that 450,000 people visit this course each year. So for $750 for the year, i now have a bench ad, ball washer ad and a scorecard ad. Such a deal!!! Check out my ad.

Old prop mgr finally came through. The owner called me after the person handling the unit disappeared. They have a tenant who has signed a lease and is moving in in a few days. Yeah!!!!. It’s been empty since July. If i were there I WOULD HAVE HAD IT RENTED.

Cabo

Pete Youngs and Larry Goines spent a week in my gorgeous condo in Cabo. They had a ball and are sending me pictures which i will pass on. I miss it so much but things have been hectic with doing my mentoring and attending to family matters.

Took a group of people out in the field on an reo trip. They learned what criteria i use in selecting prospects, how to deal with banks, realtors and handymen, and what to offer plus much more. We all had fun and learned. As in all situations when investors get together, we all learned from each other.

Now that i am finished with my repairs i am ready to go again making offers. I really should never stop but between the repairs and the club, i had no time. Need to get a group together to help with the process.

Going out Sat with a few people to look at some of the new properties on the market. It is really slim pickings. Going to have to ramp up my fsbo business.

Short Sales Are About to Increase

Get ready for the short sales. According to a Treasury spokeswoman, Treasury officials will soon announce a $2,500 subsidy ($1,000 to the servicer and $1,500 to the seller) to encourage short sales as a way to clear theexcess inventory. The fees are designed to help compensate the servicer for the extra effort, and to incent the seller to be cooperative and leave the home in good condition. Presumably, the Treasury is trying to help facilitate a transaction that will result in less loss to the lender than in the case of a foreclosure.
